Meet Your Coach

My name is Emelyne Museaux, and I have an intense passion for helping other people! Over the course of my life, I have been an assistant, a tutor, a ghostwriter, an editor, an organizer, and a volunteer. I’ve always gravitated to spaces that need service, and people who need encouragement and help in reaching their goals. I’ve been placed in the coaching role well before I became a certified life coach, and coming to this place on my own and finally standing in my purpose has been a truly rewarding experience!

I want to help as many people as I can to achieve this same sense of purpose and peace. As a life coach, I strive to be compassionate and committed to my clients, as well as radically honest with both them and myself. I am not standing above or in front of you, but directly at your side on your journey to self-improvement. My clients have my ear as well as the opportunity to pick my brain in any way that might be helpful to them; transparency, motivation, and discretion are standard to how I operate.

I come from a dysfunctional family background, and learned the hard way the conscious and subconscious ways that this can often set us up for self-sabotage and destructive behaviours. I also know firsthand how a dysfunctional family can corrupt a person’s self-love and distort their views of what healthy friendships and relationships look like. I learned that a healthy relationship with others isn’t possible until a healthy relationship with yourself has been firmly established. I had to do the work to change my mindset, release myself from bitterness about the past, and shift how I view my present in order to grow. I became the architect of my own life, and I teach my clients how to do this as well! Growth is the perpetual goal, and while growth can be difficult, it’s easier with accountability and a blueprint. As a Haitian immigrant, I also understand the unique experiences of other Haitian and Caribbean children and first-gens, and I am passionate about helping others create better boundaries and break generational curses.

Having been diagnosed with depression, anxiety, and ADHD, there were many years where I structured my life with the assumption that I came second to my diagnoses, and that I would always feel miserable and unproductive. Eventually, I got sick and tired of being sick and tired, and decided that if I was mentally ill, then I should focus on healing my mind as much as possible, and learn to be as productive and happy as possible in spite of them; simply knowing what was wrong with me wasn’t enough.

Similar to physical illness, doctors and diagnoses are important and medication may be necessary, but physical therapy, rest, and re-structuring how you operate are also necessary. I like to think of life coaching as physical therapy for the mind. How I thought of and spoke to myself, certain habits I had, conversations I engaged in, and people whom I allowed into my life all directly alleviated or contributed to my mental illness symptoms. I had to take control of my life by taking control of my thoughts. This was made possible via changing my internal dialogue, learning self-love and self-compassion, scheduling my days, and implementing time management skills which changed my life and drastically reduced my depression while almost completely eliminating my anxiety! Mental illnesses can be a terrible Achilles to live with, but I took control of my life by training mind for happiness and success, and I can teach you how to do this as well!

There is no fluff with me; I will not waste my time and your money by feeding you platitudes. What I will do is listen, give you my honest assessment of your situation, and help you come up with and follow through on a game plan. Whether your goal is to improve your relationship with yourself, grow in self-love and confidence, create standards and establish boundaries for healthier relationships with others, heal from your past, better manage your time or money, or work towards your career goals, I can help. If you’re someone who wants more, different, or better out of life, I can fix that!
