Hoarding information for the sake of knowing without ever doing can have the same affect mentally as hoarding items for the sake of having without using.
A lot of people who are chronic procrastinators will often make a habit out of collecting information. They’re hungry for information on anything and everything, mistaking that for productivity, for wisdom. The process of information hoarding can feel like growing and evolving, at first. But after a while, knowing without doing can be a trigger and fuel for increased anxiety and feels of low self-worth. Because knowing more and more while remaining stagnant is a dichotomy that the mind and body simply cannot process or make peace with.
Part of moving in your purpose is making a choice and trying your best to only consume information that’s going to help you walk that path, or enrich you in elevating to the heights that you want to reach, personally or professionally. All of the information in the world means nothing if it isn’t being put to focus, concentrated use.
